PRIMATE HOUSE MURAL

The Primate House Mural was an exciting collaboration between Amy Zaremba and Alicia Rheal. The design highlights select creatures and plant life of a Bornean Rainforest overlayed with vibrant representations of actions we can all take to help protect and preserve that precious wildlife. Kids from the Zoo after school program as well as Little Picassos smooshed paint and learned about these calls to action as they created handprint pledges that adorn a separate installation. This engagement with the mural is ongoing as new groups of kids are introduced to the actions and asked to add their own hand to a growing collection of pledges in the Primate House.
